Tailgating at Neyland Stadium is the gold standard of college football tailgates. 100,000+ Vol fans descend on the Tennessee River, Volunteer Landing, and every parking lot from Stokely to G10 on home Saturdays.
Vol Navy vs lot tailgates
UT is unique among college towns: the Vol Navy — 200+ boats tied along the river — is the most iconic tailgate scene in the SEC. We deliver to riverfront lots, Volunteer Landing tents, and every parking lot tailgate from the Hill to Cumberland Avenue. We serve Knoxville across all home game weekends.
Best UT tailgate venues
- G10 lot — closest to Neyland gate, paved, RV-friendly
- Stokely lot — alumni and donor tailgates, fewer crowds
- Cumberland Strip + Fraternity Row — chapter house tailgates
- Volunteer Landing — riverfront tent setups, premium feel
- Worlds Fair Park lawn — for big alumni groups, easy walk to stadium
Tent sizing for the lot
- 10-15 guests: 10×20 frame tent
- 20-40 guests: 20×20 or 20×30 — multiple food stations
- Greek chapter (60-100): 30×40 — full chapter setup
- Alumni groups (100-200): 40×60 or two 30×40s
Mech bull as recruit magnet
For Greek chapter rush events, a mechanical bull rental ($1,099/3hr, 2 trained operators) at your Cumberland Avenue tailgate is the single best recruiting investment. Recruits drift over from neighboring chapters, photo opportunities are nonstop.
Alumni group setups
Alumni tailgates skew older with higher AOV. The bundle we deliver most: 30×40 tent, 10 60-inch rounds, 100 banquet chairs, 2 generators, lighting kit, mech bull as the late-afternoon centerpiece. Total ~$3,500-$4,500.
Generators and power
Lot power is essentially nil. Plan 1 generator per 30 guests, sized for DJ + TV + warmers + lights. Our 5,000W and 7,500W units are silenced enough that they do not kill the tailgate vibe. See our tent inventory.
Beat-the-traffic tear-down
We do NOT tear down before kickoff. We arrive ~30 min after final whistle, have you packed in 90 min. Your group keeps the tent for the post-game wind-down.
